Dr. Galal Elsayed, assistant professor of neurological surgery, was elected a voting member of the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies, which provides a national forum for socioeconomic issues concerning neurological surgery.
Dr. Lauren Osborne, associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology and of psychiatry, was named the 2026 Maternal Mental Health Hero by the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health. The award is given annually to a recipient who has advanced maternal mental health identification and treatment in a profound way.
Dr. Larissa Rodriguez, chair of the Department of Urology and the James J. Colt Professor of Urology, delivered the keynote lecture titled “Cell Base Therapies, Stress, Surgery and Training: Journey of a Surgeon Scientist” at the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction winter meeting. She will also deliver the Carlos A. Pellegrini Keynote Lecture at the Latina Surgical Society Surgical Symposium in late April.
