Thank you for your interest in the Obestetrics and Gynecology Residency Program! The information on this site offers a general description of our training program. We welcome you to browse our residency prospectus for up-to-date information.
Consistent with specialty-wide standards set by CREOG and APGO, we will be conducting virtual interviews only. As you may know, all applicants for the GME-1 positions in Obstetrics and Gynecology are expected to apply using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) through your Dean's Office and join the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). You may obtain detailed information on the application process by contacting your Dean's Office or the ECFMG, or by visiting the AAMC ERAS website.
The application submission deadline is September 25, 2024. We accept electronic applications only. Your file will be considered complete and reviewed for interview when the following documents have been received:
- A completed AAMC-NRMP application.
- A letter from your school's dean (MSPE).
- An official copy of your USMLE scores.
- An official medical school transcript.
- Three or more faculty recommendation letters, which should include two from Ob/Gyn faculty members who are familiar with your performance.
- One Standardized Letter of Evaluation (SLOE). The SLOE will replace one of the traditional letters of recommendation (LOR).
When completing your application, please be sure to check the box indicating your request for electronic transmission of your licensure test scores. Also, please be sure to update your electronic application with any changes such as contact address, email address, telephone number, or honors received.
Residency interviews will be conducted virtually on the following dates:
- Friday, November 8, 2024
- Wednesday, November 20, 2024
- Monday, December 2, 2024
There will be pre-interview meet and greets with the residents the evening before your interview. On your interview day, you will meet the department chair, residency program education team, faculty representatives from various divisions and clinical sites, and residents. We utilize structured and behavioral interview questions to reduce bias.
Additional information:
- We do not have a minimum score requirement for USMLE Steps 1 and 2.
- No time requirements for time between medical school graduation and residency.
- Our institution sponsors J-1 visas only.
- US experience is not a requirement but is always helpful.
